Objectives:
Develop strong partnerships between youth and adults by including youth and adults on program planning and implementation.
Develop leadership and citizenship skills in youth.
Provide programming to increase youth life skills (e.g. decision making, public speaking, ethical awareness, self-esteem, critical thinking, proactive coping, inquiry, self-understanding, responsibility, leadership, and team work)
Provide youth with opportunities to participate in internships, apprenticeships, job shadowing, and/or youth-adult career mentoring opportunities.
Coordinate and implement activities for youth to explore future opportunities (e.g. careers, education, entrepreneurship, business) and/or exploration of work aptitude, styles, and preferences.
Promote collaborative relationships among underserved audiences, service providers, and the broader community will be established and maintained.
Develop opportunities for youth from underserved audiences will develop life skills that will assist them in reaching their potential.
Increase the effectiveness of service delivery to adolescents and their families.
