Concepts:
Creative Visions Social Services and Consultants, Incorporated (CVSS) concept emphasizes multipurpose flex prescriptive programs. The agency is committed to serving individual and community needs, and to provide and develop quality activities for youth, adults and neighborhoods that are safe, educational, and meaningful. Activities promote educational and youth development.
Organizational Focus:
Creative Visions Social Services (CVSS) efforts are to offer charitable and educational services that are committed to providing meaningful social change. The areas of focus are Program Development, Community Development, Youth Development and Training/Workshops.
(1) Youth Development
Entails developing leadership skills and opportunities for youth in the areas of education, career development, cultural enrichment, personal development and more. Activities include mentoring, job readiness skills / job training, community service and a variety of youth initiatives.
(2) Community Development
Emphasis is in developing and expanding community development initiatives through collaborative community efforts, which encourage healthy lifestyles, strengthen family relationships, and provide equal access to opportunities and resources. The organization goal is to strengthen communities through unified efforts. Activities consists of but are not limited to group work, advocacy, planning, community organizing, community assessment, community mapping, special events, educational development and more.
(3) Training / Workshops
Approach is to develop community education programs that will inform and involve families and children, youth, young adults, adults, and seniors. It is oriented to provide individuals, communities, and organizations with the opportunity to develop and practice skills with guidance from staff and volunteers. The aim is to educate as well as inform others, focus on social changes as well as attitude changes, and expand awareness. Activities will include but are not limited to seminars/presentations, workshops, computer classes, CPR/First Aid, professional training, conferences and more.
(4) Program Development
Focus is to develop effective programs and activities that offer individuals the opportunity to learn, change, improve, and maintain levels of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. Intervention and prevention strategies and activities that include but are not limited to recreational activities, counseling, assessments, parenting classes, job training/job preparation, consulting, program evaluation, referrals, case management, family services and assistance and more. |
